Miss Rhi and Mrs. Snider's second grade classes worked together to study the properties of matter to go along with their third quarter Science standard. Students observed materials (tin foil, napkin, metal washer, plastic, wax paper, and cotton) and wrote down their observations about the properties of the materials. They then tested the materials using droppers of water to see how the materials changed/reacted to the addition of water.
Congrats to Ms. Meunier for receiving 107.9 Teacher of the Week! Her class enjoyed a pizza party yesterday!

Big win for the Varsity Bears tonight over Vienna in the first round of district play. They will play Newburg Thursday night at 7:00 in the district semi-final.

Class 2, District 9 Boys Basketball starts tonight. The games start with Macks Creek vs Crocker at 5:00, Newburg vs Plato at 6:30, and Richland vs Vienna at 8:00. Remember that there are no passes and admission is $6 for everyone ages 6 and up.
The varsity Lady Bears defeated Eugene tonight 71-41 to advance in districts. They will play Crocker Wednesday night at 7:00.
Class 2, District 9 Basketball starts tonight. The Lady Bears will tip off at 5:30 against Eugene, followed by Vienna and Plato at 7:00. Remember that there are no passes and admission is $6 for everyone ages 6 and up.

Richland FFA will be celebrating National FFA Week next week. Here are the spirit days for the week.
Girls that are playing in the soccer co-op with Laquey have pre-season conditioning next week Monday through Friday from 3:40-4:40
Tonight the Varsity Girls will travel to Newburg to for a makeup game, starting at 5:00. The varsity boys will play Dixon, JV starts at 6 with varsity to follow. We will recognize Ozark Youth League teams from Richland tonight also. Teams from session 1 will be recognized at halftime of the JV game, and session 2 will be recognized at halftime of the varsity game. OYL players and coaches will get in free to the home game tonight.
Tomorrow night the JV and Varsity boys will play Dixon starting at 6:00. It is also Ozark Youth League recognition night. We will recognize the session 1 teams (3rd Grade Girls, 4th Grade Boys & Girls, 5th Grade Boys, and 6th Grade Boys) at halftime of the JV game and session 2 teams (1st Grade Boys, 2nd Grade Girls, JH Boys & Girls) at halftime of the varsity game.
Tonight the Varsity girls and JV Boys will play at Crocker. The varsity girls will tip off at 6:00 with the JV Boys to follow.

We have added at JV boys basketball game AFTER the girls varsity game at Crocker on Thursday. It will start around 7:15.
