Doug Smith, Richland High School Senior, was recognized tonight at the Community Salute to Service. Doug Smith has made a commitment to join the US Army following graduation. We are so proud of Doug and his decision to join the armed forces.

Earlier today on a morning bus route students witnessed a pedestrian carrying a firearm. The report states that the pedestrian brandish a weapon in protection of his animal from another animal. There was never any threat to our students, bus or school property. Law enforcement have been notified.

Bears Basketball camp for grades K-5 will be held at the Richland Elementary gym on May 20 and 21 from 3:00-4:15. Forms will be sent home with students and they will also be available in the office. Forms are due by May 15.
Lady Bears Basketball camp for grades 2-5 will be held at the Richland Elementary gym on May 22 and 23 from 3:00-4:15. Forms will be sent home with students and they will also be available in the office. Forms are due by May 15.
Track sectionals will be held at South Callaway High School on Saturday, May 11. Digital ticketing will be used. There will be no cash taken at the gate. The Richland Board of Education and Laquey Board of Education have agreed to a cooperative sponsorship for the 2024-2025 school year for high school boys and girls soccer pending MSHSAA approval. More information will be provided in the upcoming days as it becomes available.

Thank you to Between the Line Tattoo and Piercing who recently held a fundraiser for the Richland School District Band Program. The fundraiser raised $7,525.00 which will be used to send students to camp this summer at University of Central Missouri. Thank you to the artists who donated 100% of all proceeds over a 2 day period.
