Last week 4th graders learned about convection by using a hot air popcorn popper. They learned that the hot air transfers the heat to the cooler kernels, and when enough hot air heats the kernels they pop. They were also able to enjoy a tasty treat!

On September 26, 2024 our junior high boys and girls basketball teams will host Stoutland for a noon tip off. Everyone planning to attend this game will be required to enter through the main doors and sign in. This is for school safety as we will still be in session during the game. The check in process should be simple, your driver's license will be the best form of ID for the process. We are offering a pre check process available the morning of the game and during the first inning of the Richland/Stoutland Softball game this evening.

Richland School District was awarded Grow Your Own Grant through Missouri Department of Education. The Grow Your Own program works to attract local students, such as paraprofessional, to the teaching profession. Funding is used to support a variety of activities, including student internships. Richland School District applied to DESE for this competitive grant. Richland School District utilizes the grant to provide a school to work opportunity for a high school senior who is interested in pursuing a degree in the teaching field to provide hands on experience in a classroom environment.
