Richland R-IV is in session today! There has been some confusion because Richland R-I in Essex (in SE MO) is out today and some have received notifications of that. Whenever school is cancelled here we will send out our own notifications and you can check the website as well.

This afternoon we received confirmation that up to 4 more of our high school students have tested or are considered positive for COVID-19. We have completed the process of contact tracing and have been able to reach the affected students. The Health department is also working on contact tracing with us. If you do not hear from the school or the Health Department, your child was not directly exposed to the positive cases. We continue to follow the procedures set up by local health authorities.
We continue to follow social distancing and disinfecting measures as much as possible. Deep cleaning will occur this evening in the building. We will be prepared to welcome your students back to class tomorrow.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to face the challenges presented by COVID-19.
