Paint It Pink will be held on Thursday, February 18th with the girls basketball team taking on Crocker with JV beginning at 6:00pm followed by the varsity game. This year's PIP recipient is Mrs. Susan Lindsey. Mrs. Lindsey taught special services in Richland for 22 years before retiring and was one of our Academic coaches as well. Paint It Pink shirts are now available for $10. Because we need to know how many shirts to order yet we are not in school, we are taking pre-orders through email. So, if you would like to purchase a shirt(s), please email me at gmeiss@richlandbears.us and tell me your name, how many shirts you would like and what sizes you need. Once we return to school, you can stop by and pay. The order deadline is this Monday, February 15th at 3:00pm. Please come out and join us for a great event!

We will have a grab and go lunch option for any of our students out on quarantine for next week. We will package meals for the entire week and hand them out behind the high school kitchen on Monday, February 8. There are two times available for pick up to help with work schedules. 11:00 - 12:30 and 5:00 - 6:00. Please pull up and let us know how many students you need meals for and we will place the meals for you to pick up so that there will be a touch less exchange.

We have tried to keep as many students on campus as possible, but the positive cases and quarantine numbers amongst high school students continue to climb. Because of this, we will have high school students only go to virtual learning starting tomorrow, February 4, through Friday, February 12. Monday, February 15 is a day off, so in person classes for high school will resume on Tuesday, February 16. We feel that our students are better off at school, so we plan to keep the elementary and junior high school students here at this time since their numbers are so much better. Students who need a device to work on at home are being issued one. We have established a meal option for students who will be out and further information will be sent out regarding that. Please try to be as safe as possible at home, especially if you are quarantined or a positive case. We are making this change to try to get through this tough period and hope it will help stem the tide. Masks, social distancing, frequent thorough hand washing, and staying at home if quarantined, are all positive steps we can take to help in this situation. Also, please do not send any student to school if they have any of the COVID symptoms. Hopefully, this will get us out of the worst of things and thank you again for your patience and understanding throughout this pandemic.
