The Frisco League Superintendents spent the morning with Missouri State Representatives Don Mayhew, Bennie Cook, and Bill Hardwick discussing the needs of our area rural schools. Anticipated legislation, rewriting of the foundation formula, and tax reform were some of the topics discussed. A big thank you goes out to Ozark Technical College for allowing us the space and time to meet and to these legislators for spending the morning discussing the issues we face in rural public schools.

The Jr High Boys and Girls A-Teams defeated Macks Creek last night. The girls won 27-23 and the boys won 51-36.

Congratulations to the Lady Bears softball team on their win over the Mack's Creek pirates with a score of 8-4. The JV team also won 7-6.

We would like to share that Mrs. (Allen) Lee has begun her maternity leave- congratulations to her and her family during this exciting time!!! While Mrs. Lee is away, we are pleased to welcome Mrs. Kaaren Lepper, who will be filling in. Mrs. Lepper recently retired after more than 30 years in education, including 18 years as a building principal. We are grateful for her experience and leadership, and we know our students and staff will be in great hands.

The baseball and softball games that were re-scheduled for October 3 will have a 4:00 start time.

Students in grades 6-8 will be traveling to Stoutland tomorrow for the Jr High Basketball games. They will leave the school around 11:45 and return around 2:45. The A-Team girls will start at noon, followed by A-Team boys, B-Team Boys, and 1/2 C-Team Boys. Students will eat school lunch before leaving, if they want to purchase anything at the concession stand they will need to bring money with them.
