🎓 Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred)
🏆 Coaching or administrative experience required
📌 **Key Responsibilities:**
✅ Coordinate all district athletic programs
✅ Schedule games, confirm officials & maintain the master schedule
✅ Ensure MSHSAA & Title IX compliance
✅ Manage athletic communications & media
✅ Work with Transportation Director for team travel
✅ Lead budget planning & equipment oversight
✅ Supervise/evaluate coaches & sponsors
✅ Represent Richland Athletics in the community
✅ Supervise 35–50% of events (depending on coaching role)

The HS Boys and Girls held basketball camp this week for youth players. They had a great turn out and everyone had a great time while learning a few skills.
Due to incoming rain and thunderstorms, the field trip for tomorrow has been cancelled.

Join us in giving a warm Richland Bear welcome to Mr. Austin Porter! He will be serving as Head Varsity and Junior High Boys Basketball Coach and Physical Education Teacher.
Mr. Porter comes to us from Sparta High School, where he spent the past four years serving as the In-School Suspension teacher and coaching junior varsity and middle school basketball. A 2019 graduate of Marshfield High School, he went on to play collegiate basketball at Mission University in Springfield, MO.
He is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management from Western Governors University and is passionate about making a positive impact both in the classroom and on the court.
We’re excited to have his energy, leadership, and dedication at Richland High School. Welcome to the Bear family, Mr. Porter! 🏀📚
