Jonathan Hall has been named RHS Lady Bears head basketball coach for the 2021-2022 season. UPDATE: There has been a change to the JH/HS Boys Basketball summer schedule. Incoming grades 6-12 will have open gym on Tuesday, June 1 & Thursday, June 3 from 6-7:30 at Richland High School. Further information will be provided at that time.

The 6th graders on their trip today should arrive at the elementary school in about 20 minutes.

Richland Elementary School has achieved the Missouri SW-PBS Recognition Award of Excellence for implementation of schoolwide positive behavior support during the 2020-2021 school year. Richland Elementary is one of 110 schools to achieve this award. Congratulations to the staff and students for this accomplishment!

In some great news, we found out from SEMA that we were approved for the Community Safe Room in the elementary school! The district has been looking into this grant for several years and it will be a great addition for all of Richland.

Paw Prints are on sale now! Parents, grandparents, families, businesses, or anyone who would like to purchase a print can have their name(s) written on a paw on the drive in front of the high school. All prints are good for the 2021-2022 school year. Order forms are available at the front office or call 573.765.3711. A new paw is only $40. A renewal is $25. All proceeds go to this year's junior class.


Last summer Mrs. Peters participated in a Science and Art mentor workshop. All art materials to complete the projects were provided by the National Science Foundation. All sixth grade students created Squash books and had the opportunity to create posters about Extreme Weather.
Congratulations to the following students for completing the Squash book and submitting a poster; Peyton (Poster is Runner-Up), and Kourtney (Poster is a Runner-Up). Brooklynn poster received 1st Place. Brooklynn will receive a $50 gift card and her poster will be placed onto Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) buses. Patrons and visitors will view her art for the next year as the buses travel in and around Kansas City, Missouri.
