The Bears baseball team received the 5 seed in the Frisco League Tournament. They will play Tuesday, September 7, at 7:00 against Stoutland. Stoutland is the host school this year, please note that some of the tournament games will be played at Richland. Good luck Bears!

RES students had a great time at “PBiS Boot Camp” today, learning about the positive ways to behave at school!
To help out students 7-12 with our goal of being college and career ready we have begun passing out chromebooks to students that have a technology agreement. We will continue handing out these devices to students who get their paperwork in, specifically the technology agreement.
The Richland Junior High Basketball Tournament (boys & girls) will be held September 7-11. The Bears play on September 7 at 6:30 against Dixon and the Lady Bears play on September 8 at 4:00 against Dixon.

Richland R-IV is offering free meals to all enrolled students age 18 and under, under COVID 19: Child Nutrition Response #85 Nationwide Waiver to allow the Seamless Summer Option through the 2021-2022 school year.
JH/HS students are still encouraged to complete and submit an application for free and reduced meal to the district. Free and Reduced Meal data is used to establish eligibility for other benefits.

The baseball games for Friday, August 27 against Belle and Tuesday, August 31 against Crocker are cancelled at this time. The Crocker game is rescheduled for Monday, September 27.
Notice of Board Vacancy
The Richland R-IV School District is seeking applications for the current vacant position of the board of education. An individual will be appointed to fill the vacant position until April 2022 elections have been held and certified and a newly elected individual has been sworn-in to fill the remainder of this position’s term.
Interested persons must submit an intent to serve the board position and their qualifications for the position to the district office no later than Sep 9, 2021.
