Richland R-IV School District

The Richland R-IV School District announces that Dr. Turner has submitted her resignation, effective at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year, after twelve years of dedicated service to the district. During her tenure, she has served as both the Elementary Principal and the Superintendent, earning recognition as the 2014 South Central New Principal of the Year and leading Richland Elementary to receive Silver Recognition for PBIS. She lead the district in curriculum and instruction with the adoption of standard based grading and curriculum design across the grade levels. Dr. Turner has secured more than five million dollars in grants for the district, including after-school program grants that have provided over ten years of free before- and after-school care for elementary families, as well as safety grants that funded secure entrance upgrades and new door systems in both buildings. Her leadership also supported the purchase of four new buses and a district vehicle, the donation of playground equipment, and the oversight of the construction and federal grant process for the FEMA storm shelter. Dr. Turner shared that she is deeply appreciative of the board members she has worked alongside over the years and is grateful for the opportunity to work with the dedicated educators and staff of the district, and the chance to watch students grow throughout their educational journeys.
